Dead Inside - The Original Big Box
A chaotic party card game for sleep-deprived legends, wine survivors, and women one unanswered “Mom?” away from losing it.

The Premise
Players compete to build the funniest, most unhinged responses to brutally relatable motherhood situations. Think:
· school pickup rage
· questionable self-care
· marriage fatigue
· group chat warfare
· PTA politics
· hiding in the bathroom for peace
The humor is sharp, messy, moderately inappropriate, and painfully accurate.
Core Gameplay
Players
3–10 moms (or emotionally damaged honorary moms, aunties or gal pals that understand)
Objective
The first player to 12 “Survival Points” by creating the funniest response combinations.
How a Round Works
1. One player becomes The Overstimulated Mom (judge).
2. She draws a Crisis Card and reads it aloud.
3. Everyone secretly submits an Insanity Card.
4. Judge reads answers dramatically.
5. Judge awards Funniest answer and winner wins 1 Survival Point.
6. Game play can be interrupted with
7. First to 12 survival points wins and is declared:
“Least Likely to Snap in a Target”
Deck Types
1. Crisis Cards (Prompt Cards)
These describe horrifyingly relatable situations that children have created.
Examples:
· “The pediatrician asks if your child eats vegetables. You…”
· “Your kid just announced your private business at Target. Naturally, you…”
· “The school spirit week email says tomorrow is ‘Pioneer Day.’ You…”
· “Your husband says he’s ‘babysitting’ his own children tonight.” You…”
2. Insanity Cards (Response Cards)
Players use these to answer prompts.
Examples:
· “Drink a warm White Claw and harbor unresolved resentment”
· “Threaten to cancel Christmas in October”
· “tear into the emergency ‘car chocolate’”
· “start crying in the Costco parking lot”
· “weaponize your silence”
· “take a suspiciously long ‘grocery run’”
· “attempt to gentle parent until 8:14 AM”
3. Meltdown Cards (Special Chaos Cards)
Interrupt gameplay or sabotage other moms. By playing your Meltdown card at any point in a round.
Examples:
Tiny Dictator
Swap hands with the player who currently looks the most emotionally stable.
Wine O’Clock
Everyone discards their worst card and draws two new ones.
Mother-in-Law Visit
The round judge automatically rejects the first selected answer and must onto the 2nd best choice.
